Maili Bible has been educating children for over 49 years here on the leeward coast.
No, being spiritual is not required to attend. However, we are a faith-based school and would ask to keep that in mind as you make your decision.
We offer morning care and afternoon care for no additional charge. Drop no earlier than 7 and pick up no later than 4 pm. Occasions when we a special event is scheduled, after school is not available. Notices are sent out prior to.
For grades 1-6, after grading the test your child's teacher will discuss whether or not they tested at their intended grade level. Sometimes they will give you a list of things to work on before school starts. Sometimes they will suggest tutoring. Sometimes, the recommendation will be to repeat a grade.
For kindergarteners, Miss Nakagawa uses her quiz to determine where your child is at. She may suggest what your child should work on before the first day. She may ask them to come in over the summer. Infrequently, she'd suggest that your child be enrolled in K4. Our teachers can start testing as early as May 22nd.
When a student exceeds 15 absences, a conference will be scheduled with the principal. More than 25 absences will result in the student being retained in that grade. Special allowances may be made for extenuating circumstances such as hospitalization, surgeries, etc.

The following grading scale is used in preparing report cards for the students of MBS.
Grades will be averaged every quarter by the teacher. If a student is failing, the teacher is responsible to notify the principal and parents in an adequate amount of time.

Types of probation given at Maili Bible School:
We do not offer scholarships or financial aid. Our school has solely survived on our parents paying their tuition on time. We are proud to state, our tuition has not changed for over 9 years.

Maili Bible School has met the requirements of admission and subscribed to the statement of faith of the American Association of Christian Schools.
Maili Bible School is license to operate as a private school by the Hawai’i Council of Private Schools.
We'd love to encourage all to attend but no. It is not a requirement
Problems in any area must be first dealt with at the teacher’s level. Parent & the teacher must be able to try and work out the problem first. If the problem is not satisfactorily taken care of, a parent can then make an appointment with the administrator. If the problem persists, it may be taken to the Elder Board of Ma’ili Bible Church for the final decisions.
MBS has a Choir called the Sharktones they practice weekly and perform in all of our programs and at all of our student body events.
MBS also has a Spirit Squad. The Spirit Squad lead cheers motivates school spirit and pump up the student body when we meet.
Both the Sharktones and Spirit Squad members must keep up their grades and display good Christian character principles
Lunch is not provided in the tuition. Parents must pack a snack along with a lunch. Please pack food that does not require long use of microwave. Lunch period are 30 minutes.
Parents will need to purchase uniforms online from French Toast. Our school code is QS475GQ. Please ensure to add embroidery when prompted.
Collared shirts/blouses with MBS embroidered logo. Knee length shorts or pants with belt for boys. Skirts and shorts for girls. All shirts must be tucked in.
Laced shoes with socks, covered toe sandals for girls.
K4 & K5 do not need to order PE clothes. All other grades can choose from the selections on the website.
Our high schoolers get a yearly visit from a Bob Jones University rep. Our school uses the Bob Jones curriculum for grades K5-12th.
We ask that all kids be in their seats at 7:45 AM. School finishes at 2:30 PM for K4/K5 and 7-12th graders. First through sixth grade finish at 3 PM daily.
