My name is Stacey Cole. My time in the Pacific Rim started in June 2013 when I served at EUCON International School and Christian Bible Church in Saipan. I taught ESL for two months and by the end of that first trip, I believed God was calling me to serve in the islands. I would go back to Saipan in 2014 then Guam, Saipan, and Micronesia in 2017. Through my time in Guam, I was connected with someone who grew up at Ma'ili Bible Church. The door opened to go to Hawaii in 2019 and serve in the ministry at Ma'ili Bible. The door has opened again to come back this school year and I am excited to see how God will work.
Aside from my love for the islands, I also have a passion for international student ministry. I started volunteering in 2011 with a student ministry at Iowa State University. Over the last twelve years, I have met students from countless countries, mostly in the Middle East, West Africa, and Asia. Hawaii has a large international student population, so I will also be volunteering with IBM (International Baptist Ministries) at University of Hawaii- Manoa. I am excited to be back in the islands and also serving with international students.
My life verse is Isaiah 30:21- "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way, walk in it.'"
