I grew up in Māʻili and am grateful to be an alumnus of Māʻili Bible School. After high school, I attended Bob Jones University, where I earned a B.A. in Youth Ministry, followed by an M.A. in Ministry from Bob Jones Seminary.
God has given me a heart to serve the youth and families of Hawaiʻi. After graduating, I returned to MBS as a teacher’s assistant, a coach for the high school boys’ volleyball and a youth leader for the youth group. Since then, I have served in several youth and education-focused roles, including working at a youth shelter, supporting an after-school program at Nānākuli Intermediate, and serving as a site director with Ka Paʻalana, a Homeless Family Education Program.
For the past seven years while at Ka Paʻalana, I managed a NAEYC-accredited Family Child Interactive Learning Center in Kapolei, that served caregivers and their keiki from birth to age five. In that role, I supported the education team in daily program operations and worked closely with families to build strong, healthy relationships between staff, participants, and program services.
I am thankful for the opportunity to continue serving our community through education. I am especially grateful to help students grow not only academically, but also spiritually through intentional biblical teaching and discipleship.
Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in Him.”
